A piece from me to you

A piece from me to you

Over the years, I have learned to Be PROACTIVE; Be RESPONSIBLE AND TAKE RESPONSIBILITY; NEVER ENTERTAIN IDLENESS; and LOVE

1. BE PROACTIVE!

I have been blessed with some good teachers in my life's journey coupled with having a knack for learning. During one of my quest for learning, I encountered a man who opened my mind to the quote below. It hit me in a different way.

"Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up. It knows it must run faster than the fastest lion or it will be killed. Every morning a lion wakes up. It knows it must outrun the slowest gazelle or it will starve to death. It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or gazelle. When the sun comes up, you'd better be running." (Anonymous)

The point is this: If you want to live out your potentials and life, you had better be ready to run.

The quote sums up being proactive, engage in what matters and making informed decision. I have deployed this from school assignments to key areas of my life.

2. BE RESPONSIBLE AND TAKE RESPONSIBILITY

My philosophy about responsibility is that it catches up with us at every stage of our short life. Our failure to rise to the occasion leaves people with an opinion of us and more importantly, we miss out on life's endless opportunities.

3. NEVER ENTERTAIN IDLENESS

I mean never say there is nothing meaningful you can engage in at any point in time (relaxation included). I don't mean you should be a workaholic.

4. LOVE

If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing. If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing. Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. (Apostle Paul - I Corinthians 13:1-7 (NLT)).

Hope you learned something.
